Korean-American Semiconductor is considering the construction of its eighth production facility in South Korea to address the anticipated shortage of AI semiconductor equipment starting next year. This factory will become the company's largest site, located near the under-construction seventh factory. Chairman Kwon Dong-sin expects that from next year, the demand for semiconductor equipment will exceed supply. The company stated that increased investments from global chip manufacturers will drive rapid growth in the market demand for thermal compression bonding machines and hybrid bonding machines. Additionally, Korean-American Semiconductor plans to establish a subsidiary in San Jose, California, by the end of 2026 to enhance technical support services.
