Institutions Hold 4,189,724 BTC, Strategy Sells and Strive Makes Small Purchases
Institutions hold a total of 4,189,724 BTC, with 343 institutions in total. Among them, 197 publicly listed companies hold 1,263,287 BTC, while ETFs and other funds hold 1,508,314 BTC. Governments hold 649,965 BTC, private companies hold 284,452 BTC, DeFi and smart contracts hold 369,487 BTC, and exchanges and custodians hold 114,222 BTC. The largest holder, Strategy, sold 3,588 BTC on July 6, reducing its holdings to 843,775 BTC. Strive purchased 18 BTC on July 6 and July 13, bringing its total to 19,900 BTC. In the domestic market, five listed companies hold Bitcoin, and El Salvador continues to make small purchases steadily. BlackRock IBIT maintains the largest ETF holdings with 810,291 BTC. The increase in BTC holdings by institutions and governments is expected to positively impact the reduction of circulating supply and market prices.
